The annual St. Joseph chili tour returns later this month on January 31.
Whether you are looking to taste something spicy or a bit more milder, St. Joe Today events and operations manager Daniele Crevier tells us there is something for everyone to enjoy.
“We have over 25 chilies that you get to taste that evening,” Crevier says. “We’re welcoming some new restaurants this year. We’ve just got Sandra Kay’s bakery. Timothy’s is new, and TJ’s tap. We’ve also got KT ‘s Rasoi. There’s also Culver’s so we’ve got some new faces.”
The event, that has been going on for more than 10 years, will offer visitors and residents an opportunity to check out restaurants, stores, and the downtown area. Merchants and restaurants will showcase their chili recipes in hopes of receiving the People’s Choice Award, or the Chili Pepper Award, which will be announced on Monday, Feb. 3.
The event is $5 per person, which includes a Chili Tour Map and a voting ballot. Attendees are encouraged to return their maps at the end of the night to vote.
Maps and tickets are available to purchase at the St. Joe Today Welcome Centers starting at noon on Friday, Jan. 31.
