Andrews University Wind Symphony to Perform On April 23rd

On Saturday, April 23rd, the final concert for the 2021-2022 Andrews University Wind Symphony season will fill the Howard Performing Arts Center with many classic works and featured pieces under Conductor Byron Graves.

Beginning at 8:30 pm, you will hear selections from Lincolnshire Posy, Percy Grainger’s “masterpiece for wind band”, and selections from Pictures At An Exhibition. The title piece of the evening, ‘Tempered Steel’, is a moving tribute to all who have endured the pandemic over the last two years. Included in the concert will also be a musical tribute to the people of Ukraine.
The program will feature student conducting appearances by Cyril Punay and Jason Marquez, as well as a horn solo performed by horn section leader Erin Penrod.

The Andrews University Wind Symphony travels throughout the Great Lakes area performing concerts that represent Adventist education and the University itself, and has performed in more than ten countries across the world.
This concert is free and open to the public, and serves as a huge thank you to the wonderful WAUS members.
Howard Performing Arts Center is located at 4160 East Campus Circle Drive in Berrien Springs. To find out more information regarding events, concerts, and recitals, please visit  howard.andrews.edu.
