Andrews University to host business bootcamps; e-commerce, drones and more

The School of Business Administration at Andrews University in Berrien Springs announced it will begin a series of comprehensive business bootcamps designed to empower business owners, startups, and nonprofits this June.

This unique program offers area businesses opportunities to grow business skills, covering a wide range of topics including social media marketing, e-commerce, analytics with Excel, business sustainability, and drones for business applications. The bootcamps will be conducted both online and face-to-face at Chan Shun Hall, School of Business in Berrien Springs.

Led by industry experts and faculty members, the bootcamps are tailored to meet the needs of today’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

“The Career Catalyst Bootcamps provide an unparalleled opportunity for business owners, startups, and nonprofits to gain valuable insights and skills in key areas essential for sustainable growth,” said Kimberly Pichot, Dean at Andrews University’s College of Professions. “Our aim is to equip participants with practical tools and strategies to navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities present in today’s business environment,”

Participants will have the opportunity to choose from the following bootcamp offerings:

Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses | June 5-9:  Learn the latest techniques and strategies for leveraging social media platforms to effectively promote your business, build brand awareness, engage with customers, and drive sales. Also learn the basics of improving prompts to enhance marketing with AI.

E-Commerce for Startups | June 26-30: Gain insights into the world of online retail and e-commerce, including setting up an online store, optimizing customer experience, managing inventory, and implementing effective marketing strategies.

Analytics with Excel | June 12-16: Develop proficiency in data analysis using Excel, learning how to extract meaningful insights, create data visualizations, and make data-driven decisions to enhance business performance.

Sustainable and Resilient by Design | June 19-23: Discover the principles and practices of sustainable business, exploring strategies to minimize environmental impact, improve social responsibility, and enhance long-term profitability. This bootcamp will guide you to create sustainable and diverse revenue streams, enhance efficiency and ensure adherence to organizational policies.

Drones for Business Applications | June 19-23:  Explore the emerging field of drones and their applications in various industries, such as aerial photography, surveying, inspections, and logistics, unlocking new possibilities and efficiencies for business.
