Andrews University Choirs To Perform “Welcome Christmas” Concert

On Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m., the Andrews University Singers, Canta Bella and the Pioneer Men’s Chorus will present choral music under the annual theme “Welcome Christmas.” The Andrews University Singers and Canta Bella will perform under the direction of Stephen Zork, while the Pioneer Men’s Chorus will be conducted by choral graduate assistant Cyril Punay. Members of the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Chris Wild, will also participate.

Carols such as “Infant Holy” by Cameron Rose and selections from “Gloria” by John Rutter, “Chichester Psalms” by Leonard Bernstein and “Ceremony of Carols” by Benjamin Britten will be performed.

The centerpiece of the Christmas concert will include “Magnificat” by Z. Randall Stroope, “Brightest and the Best” by Shawn Kirchner, “Christmas Dinner,” composed by Paul Stookey and arranged by Stephen Zork, and “See, Amid the Winter’s Snow” by Dan Forrest.
