Allegiant Adds New Knoxville Service from SBN

There’s air service expansion at SBN—South Bend International Airport.

Vacation focused Allegiant Air announced it will add direct flights between South Bend and Knoxville, Tennessee (TYS), beginning June 14.  Allegiant is a major player at SBN, according to airport leadership.

“Knoxville marks the seventh Allegiant destination on our route map,” said Mike Daigle, South Bend International Airport CEO and executive director. “After an easy nonstop flight from South Bend International, travelers will be able to immerse themselves in food, culture, and endless outdoor adventure, including the wondrous Great Smoky Mountains.”

The new South Bend-Knoxville service is part of a package of expanded flights to a dozen airports in the Allegiant system.  Among the additions were direct flights to Los Angeles (LAX} from a couple of Midwestern cities, Rockford, Illinois and Rapid City, South Dakota.

In addition to the Knoxville service, Allegiant offers service from South Bend to Las Vegas, Orlando/Sanford FL, Phoenix/Mesa AZ, Fort Myers/Punta Gorda FL, Tampa/St. Petersburg FL, and Sarasota/Bradenton FL
