Holt Bosse, an advertising agency based in St. Joseph, is welcoming Alexandra Jacobson as art director.
In a statement, Holt Bosse said “Jacobson is a designer with a deep passion for multi-sensory, inclusive experiences that go beyond compelling visuals — but also engage and empower people of all abilities. It is a philosophy that aligns seamlessly with Holt Bosse’s commitment to impactful and thoughtful design.”
Raised in a family of artists, Jacobson pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Design and Printmaking from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, IN., and a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design from Purdue University in West Lafayette. Over the past three years, she has focused on developing design solutions that remove barriers for individuals affected by sensory processing challenges, ‘creating work that balances energy and clarity without overwhelming the audience’.
Jacobson brings a diverse skill set to Holt Bosse, with expertise in graphic design, UX/UI, social media content creation, interactive design, brand identity, packaging, installation and print design. Her work has received regional and international recognition, earning numerous awards across various categories, including branding, motion graphics, UX design and poster design.
Her latest poster series, Sensory Sensitivity Stages, employs a multi-sensory design approach, integrating sound through augmented reality (AR) and tactile elements through 3D printing, enhancing accessibility and engagement.
In her new role, Jacobson will design marketing collateral, branding identity, social media content, websites and other digital materials for the company’s diverse clientele.
“Alexandra is an incredibly talented designer and visual communicator,” said Dan Clements, partner and chief creative director. “We’re thrilled to have her on our team.”
Jacobson resides in Stevensville, with her family. When not designing, she enjoys sewing, printmaking, culinary arts and walking Lake Michigan beaches with her dog — especially in the quieter off-season.
