Chris Cook’s star continues to rise with his latest crowning achievement coming from the American Council of Engineering Companies/Michigan which has announced his election as its 2021-2022 President.
Chris has been the President of Abonmarche Consultants in Benton Harbor for the past 15 years and has been with the company for a total of 28 years. Abonmarche, headquartered on Main Street in downtown Benton Harbor, is a civil engineering, architecture, surveying, planning, landscape architecture and coastal engineering firm with offices in both Michigan and Indiana. Chris graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Michigan and became a licensed engineer in 1991. He is currently licensed in both Michigan and Indiana.
In addition to being the current President of the ACEC/M, he has also served as President of MSPE and was named Young Engineer of the Year in 1995. He is a member of the Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society, and is the current Treasurer of the St. Joseph Public Schools Board of Education and a member of the City of St. Joseph’s Zoning Board Authority. Chris has a long history of community service for numerous agencies, which led to him receiving the ACEC National Community Service Award.
He resides in St. Joseph with his wife, Katie, and has 3 grown daughters.
