If your travels or those of people you work with typically take you to Lawrence in Van Buren County, here’s a heads up regarding major reconstruction on a couple of I-94 ramps there which will force a detour for you or them.
The Michigan Department of Transportation announced this morning that two I-94 ramps will be closed at Exit 52 (52nd Street/CR 365) in Lawrence for reconstruction over the three week period beginning this Friday, June 29th, and running through Friday, July 20th.
The ramp from 52nd Street/CR 365 to eastbound I-94, and the ramp from eastbound I-94 to 52nd Street/CR 365 will be closed and detoured.
The posted detour will be eastbound I-94 Exit 46, CR 687, Red Arrow Highway, M-51 (43rd Street) and eastbound I-94 Exit 56.
These closures are part of an even larger project which will see the resurfacing of almost 6 miles of eastbound I-94 from 56th Street to M-51 in Van Buren County in the days ahead.
MDOT officials say you can find a map regarding the changes and individual project details by visiting online at Mi Drive.
