The Cornerstone Alliance’s Female Leadership Excellence Event is returning for its fourth year this month, aimed at inspiring change and empowering women in Berrien County.
Chris Frank, Executive Vice President at Cornerstone, emphasizes that this event offers attendees a chance to hear personal stories about the journeys of successful women.
“You know, we live in a community where we have a lot of really powerful leaders in the community, but we’re exposed to them quite often,” Frank says. “We don’t necessarily know their story, but we often see them around town in the grocery store and things like that. So the idea with Flex is really to bring in outside talent, so from a global scale.”
On March 6, guests will have the opportunity to learn from various speakers, including Natalie Baggio, President of Corewell Health Southwest Michigan, who will share insights into their paths to success.
“Women often get pigeonholed into, you know, you can be smart or you can be pretty,” Frank says. “You can be a stay-at-home mom or you can have a career. It’s like, I feel like in every turn women are kind of forced to choose. And this really is an opportunity to say, go do it all.”
Although the event is sold out, you can find more information about FLEX on their website.
