The long-awaited announcement of an opening date for the new Benton Township Chick-fil-a restaurant has been revealed.
Chick-fil-a will open Thursday, February 27 at 1917 Pipestone Road, near Exit 27 of I-94.
The new restaurant has been under construction for nearly a year on the site of the old Steak & Shake, next to Brookfield Chrysler. In recent weeks, Chick-fil-a has been hiring and training staff members.
Chick-fil-a is famous for its chicken sandwiches, and for being closed on Sundays. Several locations in Michigan are expected to open in the next few months as the chain fills in Northern state markets. It is headquartered in Georgia and is still family owned by the descendants of founder S. Truett Cathy.
The local owner-operator in Benton Harbor is Justin Barnes.
