The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance is spotlighting the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Isabella Grace LLC, a new craft retreat and creative gathering space that offers a unique environment for artists, writers, crafters, and more to connect and create. The event will take place at 137 S Front Street, Dowagiac, on Tuesday, February 18th at 10 AM.

Founded with a mission to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for creative expression and group retreats, Isabella Grace LLC combines beautiful facilities, on-site retail for craft supplies, and dedicated areas for classes and events. The retreat offers a customized experience for groups, from guided workshops to independent crafting sessions.

A Vision for Creativity and Community

“We want everyone to feel at home and leave excited to return for their next retreat,” said Debbie Uhrik of Isabella Grace. “Whether you craft, write, paint, or simply need a place to gather and focus, Isabella Grace is a space where creativity thrives, and connections are built.”

The inspiration for Isabella Grace LLC began as a pursuit to design custom handbags but evolved after attending several quilting retreats. “I was hooked,” said Uhrik. “I loved how these retreats allowed uninterrupted time to craft, connect, and share ideas. That experience planted the seed for our own retreat business.”

Support from the Women’s Business Center

Brandy Jaquez, Director of the Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance, shared her enthusiasm for Isabella Grace LLC’s launch: “This is a wonderful example of innovation and entrepreneurship in our community. The passion and creativity that went into building this retreat space are inspiring, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on local artists, makers, and groups.”

Looking Ahead

Isabella Grace LLC aims to become an integral part of the local creative community. The retreat offers space for private events, group gatherings, and public workshops. Upcoming events include a “Craft-a-long” from February 15-16 and a chunky blanket-making class starting on February 23.

“We’re excited to contribute to the community by collaborating with local businesses and featuring recommendations for places to eat and things to do in our welcome book,” Uhrik shared. “Our goal for 2025 is to be fully booked, and we are open to creative ideas and new opportunities to grow.”

Join the Celebration

The ribbon-cutting event is the culmination of two years of dedication and hard work. “We searched tirelessly for the perfect location and navigated budget cuts, but we’re finally here,” said Uhrik. “This event is a major milestone for us, and we can’t wait to celebrate with the community.”

The Women’s Business Center at Cornerstone Alliance invites the public to join in celebrating Isabella Grace LLC’s grand opening and learn more about its offerings.
