The Whirlpool Appliance to benefit the United Way of Southwest Michigan has been extended through the end of Monday.
The United Way’s Zack East tells us the extended sale is online only, and buyers can scoop up some brand new Whirlpool appliances with steep discounts. They’ve got everything from refrigerators to washing machines to dishwashers to stand mixers.
“The deals are really, really good,” East said. “In most cases, it’s 50% off or more. And we even have some Gladiator Garage products, which often don’t go on sale for us as part of the appliance sale. So this is a pretty big event.”
East says the in-person appliance sale last month went quite well, so Whirlpool agreed to keep the online version going through Cyber Monday.
“I would say that we’re still at about 100, 150 some appliances that need to go and sales have been brisk today, especially, so I have a feeling they’re going to keep ramping up, but there’s still plenty of stuff there.”
All major appliances come with a one-year warranty. There are no delivery options for the online sale, so buyers will have to arrange to pick up their purchases.
East says the in-person appliance sale last month raised about $160,000, and he hopes this extended online sale will raise another $20,000.
