Lest We Forget, the group that honors veterans with re-creations of historic battles, is sponsoring a free  community concert celebration honoring veterans and their families for Veteran’s Day.

The Southshore Concert Band, led by Dale Reuss with emcee Jeff Whitaker, will present their annual Veterans Day Patriotic Concert on Sunday, November 10th at 2:00 pm at Lake Michigan College Mendel Center Jenkins Theater in Benton Harbor.

The 78 members of the Southshore Band will be featuring traditional patriotic music and salutes to the service branches of the US Military.  The theme for the concert, LIBERTY, is designed to musically assert our American ideals through the performance by the Band, including instrumental, vocal and visual selections.

Lest We Forget president Larry Wozniak tells us, “The men and women who have sacrificed to protect and defend our American ideals as members of the United States military forces will be remembered and honored throughout the program.  A Tribute to Lest We Forget founder, Col. Donald Alsbro, who passed away in February, will be followed by remembering all Lest We Forget members who have passed on by showing their photographs during the singing of ‘The Mansions of the Lord.’”

Lest We Forget will honor all veterans by taking their photo starting at 1 pm and continuing until 1:45 pm.  Complimentary photos will be mailed to the veterans.
