As the Fall Color experience begins in earnest in Berrien County, one of the area’s best places to view the turning of the leaves has reopened following extensive storm damage this summer.

Galien River County Park reopend today, according to Berrien County Parks Director Jill Adams, who invited county residents to take advantage of the opportunity to do some ‘leaf peeping’ at the park.  Adams said crews have been working for several weeks to put the park back in shape for the public.  And the reopening comes just in time for one of the highlight seasons of the year at the park.

Galien River County Park features extensive trails and elevated walkways providing unmatched views with minimal disruption of the natural landscape.

The park is located at 17424 Red Arrow Highway, New Buffalo.  Current hours of operation are dawn to dusk, daily.  There is no admission charge.
