Berrien County Animal Control (BCAC) is making it easier to adopt a new pet through its participation in BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Fall “National Empty the Shelters™” reduced-fee adoption event, taking place from October 1st thru October 15.
This event aims to find loving homes for deserving pets by offering reduced adoption fees and promoting pet adoptions. As the nation’s largest funded adoption event, Empty the Shelters has helped nearly 283,000 pets find loving homes. During each nationwide event, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees of $35 or less to make adoption affordable for prospective pet owners.
“Right now, our nation’s animal shelters are in crisis with too many pets coming in and not enough adoptions to keep up. Euthanasia rates have hit a 3-year-high, and healthy, adoptable pets are at risk due to space constraints,” said Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. “BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Fall National Empty the Shelters offers a chance for the community to save lives through adoption while creating space for shelters to help more pets. Deserving pets across the country are counting on all of us.”
Berrien County Animal Control (BCAC) will offer reduced rate adoptions of both dogs and cats.
BCAC is offering $35 adoption fees for dogs/puppies, and $10 adoption fee for cats/kittens.
All animals will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro chipped.
Additional dog license fee may apply.
BCAC says it currently has many wonderful dogs and cats looking for their forever homes.
