Last week’s Berrien County Youth Fair was a success, according to fair director Karen Klug.
Klug tells us just over 97,000 people attended the annual summer event last week. She says there was something for everyone at the fair.
“We had a good week,” Klug said. “We had a little bit more liquid sunshine than I would have liked. Well over 1,900 youth exhibitors participated, over 12,000 exhibits.”
Klug noted that this year’s attendance numbers were down a bit, but she believes it had to do with the weather. She thanked all of the volunteers and everyone who came out last week.
Klug is already looking forward to next year’s fair.
“Obviously by next year’s fair, we may do some things a little bit different, but our volunteers all worked really hard to help us achieve successful events. Our gate workers work hard to get everybody in. Sometimes there’s a little bit of a line, but it’s a good wait because that means there’s going to be a good crowd.”
The 2025 Berrien County Youth Fair will be held August 11 through August 16.
