True Blue Financial, an area financial planning business, has officially opened their second office location in Southwest Michigan.
The new office is located in the former Subway at 667 West Main Street, Suite A in Benton Harbor — right across the street from Whirlpool Corporation’s North America headquarters.
In making the announcement, True Blue Financial officials say the expansion is strategic and part of the company’s mission to make retirement planning and financial advice more accessible in Southwest Michigan.
Nicole Coar is a financial advisor at the firm and said they quietly opened the office in early June, meeting with clients and working out any kinks along the way. Now that they’re ready to publicize the office location, they say an open house is planned for sometime after Labor Day.
“One of the main things that drove the decision was we were starting to outgrow our office in Stevensville, which was really exciting for us to be growing and expanding to the point that we needed more space. We thought it would be wonderful to have a second office on the other side of the county and be able to better service our clients in Benton Harbor and in St. Joe. We just thought, what a perfect fit.”
Luke Brown, founder and president of True Blue Financial, said the new location enables them to offer services more conveniently than ever before.
Initially, the company is using a shared staffing plan between the two locations. Coar said they do anticipate adding staff.
“We just are kind of doing that slow ramp up and we’ll be working toward that, potentially later this fall.”
