The City of Benton Harbor in collaboration with the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission is excited to invite the community to the upcoming summit, “Changing the Narrative – Restoring and Revitalizing Ox Creek.” The summit will take place on July 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free to attend and breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Spearheaded by local stakeholders and funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the summit will serve as a platform for sharing crucial updates on Ox Creek restoration projects and the draft implementation plan. Attendees will have the opportunity to actively shape the future of Ox Creek through breakout sessions designed to solicit feedback and input on the plan.
The summit will offer a space for attendees to explore collaboration and leadership opportunities in the restoration efforts. Moreover, participants will have the chance to network with fellow community members and stakeholders who share a common interest in the restoration of Ox Creek.
The summit will be held at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor and is open to all interested individuals and organizations. To register or learn more about the event, you can visit this link. To learn more about Ox Creek and the Implementation Plan visit: https://sustainoxcreek.org.
