Tell us the story behind the nominated company. What does it do, and what sets them apart from other companies in the region?
White Flower is a recreational cannabis dispensary located in PawPaw, MI. We service Van Buren County and surrounding counties with high-grade cannabis and cannabis products. The company is only a little over two years old and is one of the only vertically integrated dispensaries in the entire state. They have one of the closest-knit teams that I’ve seen in over 30 years. Customers rave about the wonderful customer service both in-store and delivery. The company is thriving, and being vertically integrated sets it apart from every other dispensary in the region.
In your own words, why do you think this company deserves to be declared to be one of the 20 Best Places to Work in Michigan’s Great Southwest?
The owner is genuinely amazing, and the team works together like the best-oiled machine that I’ve ever seen! The GM, Joy Goosens, goes above and beyond any general manager’s duties to ensure both her employees and customers are always happy and satisfied. The love within that company gives off true family vibes, and it’s a pleasure every day when I go to work!
What makes workers proud to say they work there, and keeps them a part of the team?
We are the closest team around! Every individual’s happiness comes from being part of a great company that puts its employees first and dedicates everything we have to serve great products with exceptional customer service at a great price.

After shifts, we go on random outings as a team, such as golfing, karaoke, or kayaking. The company socializes outside of work, gathering at each other’s houses for game night or random late-night activities. Everyone meshes so well together; it’s truly like a family.
What one thing is special about your nominated company that most people in the community have no idea actually happens there, but should be shouted from the rooftops because it’s that cool?
The coolest thing about White Flower that most of the community doesn’t know is that we process and make all of our own edibles in a state-of-the-art stainless steel kitchen behind the dispensary. We also grow our own flower on-site as well.
