Coming soon will be a new attraction in Hartford.
The Wednesday Night Market will be a weekly farmers market with a twist. Manager Joshua Musinski tells us he’s starting the market as a way to sell his own products and provide entertainment to the community between the Hartford Motor Speedway and Zip Cannabis, two of the market’s sponsors.
They’ll have fresh produce from local farmers, crafts, and entertainment.
“It’s not your typical farmer’s market,” Musinski said. “It’s not run for profit. So all the money brought into the market will be used paying entertainment and for marketing purposes and for rent on the land.”
There will be live music and sometimes even comedians. Musinski says it will pair well with the location.
“Because there’s the outdoor consumption lounge right there, the entertainment that we’ll be providing will be pretty seamless, going from the food trucks to enjoying the entertainment to visiting the consumption lounge, then going back to the food trucks again.”
Musinski says the market will be family friendly, although an attendee must be 21 to enter the lounge.
The market starts Wednesday, May 29 and will be held almost every Wednesday until September 25. July 3 and 10 will not feature the market due to events at the Hartford Motor Speedway. The market will run from 4:20 p.m. through 8 p.m. each week. Everyone’s invited.
