Marcellus-based custom injection molding manufacturer TriStar Molding suffered a major fire last night. Fire crews reportedly responded at about 11 pm to the facility at 51540 on M-40 in Cass County. No injuries were reported, but the extent of the damage is severe and the facility appears to be a total loss.
Posting on social media, TriStar’s team updated employees on the status of operations.
“We have suffered a major catastrophe tonight. Our building caught on fire and and is a total loss. Everyone got out so thank you Lord for that! Please share to all so they know not to report tomorrow. When we know more we will share it. I will get with unemployment tomorrow morning to get everyone signed up and I will keep you updated. Please keep us all in your prayers.”
Company officials hope to be able to survey damage and make an assessment on next steps sometime within the next week.
