The Bridgman Holiday Village is set for next Saturday, December 9.
Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber Events Director Sara Spoonholtz tells us it will be a whole day of family friendly activities throughout the downtown.
“It’s a great opportunity for families and the community to come together for a lot of fun,” Spoonholtz said. “Santa arrives that day and will be making his presence known. Plus, there are a lot of free opportunities for family to enjoy together. Crafting, Storytime with Mrs. Claus, and really just exploring the charming downtown that is Bridgman.”
Different businesses will host different activities. Among other things, there will be ornament painting, pet photos, a holiday pop-up market, a pet parade, and a live nativity.
Spoonholtz says a fun event ought to be the fire dancer.
“His name is Nick May, and he has been down on the pier in St. Joe. The theme is Fire and Ice this year.”
Spoonholtz notes the downtown social district will be in effect for the day so people can sample beverages from different businesses and move about freely.
