An Elkhart area trailer manufacturer is said to be preparing to relocate its assembly operations to Berrien Springs. Stealth Trailers (Stealth Enterprises) is recruiting a work force for a September start, according to job recruiting site, Indeed.com.
Several attempts to reach Stealth management for confirmation and a firm timeline have gone unreturned over several days.
Sources in the welding trade have told MoodyOnTheMarket.com that Stealth will hire at least 50 employees for a plant at 9886 North Tudor Road, Berrien Springs. According to Indeed, Stealth is looking for RV Production Workers, Group Leaders and a Maintenance Supervisor.
Stealth builds a line of utility, box-type trailers as well as specialized, increasingly popular ‘toy hauler’ trailers.
Late in 2022, Stealth reportedly shut down a Bristol, Indiana production facility, first laying off, and then permanently terminating approximately 50 workers. The company confirmed that move in a required notice to Indiana state officials in December, 2022, as reported in South Bend media.
The Tudor Road facility has been described as a ‘former die cast plant’, suitable for light manufacturing.
