Corewell Health says the Veggie Van continues to make its way throughout Berrien County this summer. The mobile farmer’s market offers free, locally grown fruits and vegetables along with nutrition information, and stops in the coming weeks include Benton Harbor and Berrien Springs. The Veggie Van will visit the First Church of God on Euclid Avenue in Benton Harbor from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on August 30, and University Medical Specialties in Berrien Springs on September 13 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The events will be held drive-through style and everyone can remain in their vehicle as they pick up a bag of fresh produce. A total of 100 bags will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The goal of the Veggie Van is to ensure that fruits and vegetables are available to people who otherwise have limited access to fresh produce.
