This Sunday, May 21st, 2023, visit the Inn at Harbor Shores on the water in St. Joseph, and get those wedding planning ideas flowing! The grounds of the Inn will be arranged as if today were the day, and you can view just how special everything will be, during their Wedding Open House.
“We’ve hosted wedding shows in the past, but nothing quite like this one,” says ElizaBeth Hacker, Director of Sales at the Inn at Harbor Shores. “We will have everything set up as if it were your actual wedding taking place! The ceremony space will be set up in our Riverside Tent, tables and chairs will occupy the second floor Harborview Ballroom, and our Waterside Room will host a bar set up for cocktail hour. A Bridal Room set up will also be located in our Marina View Boardroom.”
With the anticipation of over one hundred guests passing through during the afternoon, the Inn at Harbor Shores can’t wait for you to see the gorgeous space. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be passed around by the friendly staff, and a cash bar will be available. Attendees will receive a complimentary ticket for their signature wedding cocktail, so you can sip deliciously while you peruse the venue.
There will be many vendors on site during the open house, offering a little taste of everything you’ll need to picture your perfect day. “We’ll have a photo booth provided by Freeze Frame Photography, one of our favorite DJ’s Jelliefish Productions, a new local floral and event design company, Sara Rentz Designs, and Mimi’s Cupcakes offering samples,” ElizaBeth says. “In the Riverside Tent, we will have an officiant from Weddings by Kelly, the talented harpist Meg Rodgers, showcasing ceremony music, and the cutest mobile bar you’ve ever seen, Classy Coupe!” Couples are able to use whichever vendors they choose, though these are some off of the Inn’s preferred list.
“We have this beautiful ballroom and event space with fantastic views of the harbor, but we also do all of our own in-house catering and beverages,” says ElizaBeth. “It’s one less thing for busy couples to have to worry about. Offering group blocks of guest rooms to our couples takes the guesswork out of where their out of town guests are going to stay, and with Plank’s Tavern and our Dockside Bar, we have many other amenities that make the Inn so great!”
The Inn at Harbor Shores hosts multiple weddings, rehearsal dinners, and day-after brunches, and they’d like you to come see for yourself. The Wedding Open House takes place at 800 Whitwam Drive in St. Joseph from 1 p.m to 4 p.m this Sunday, May 21st, and is free to attend, though your RSVP is requested. The Inn is also offering a special incentive of $1000 off the venue fee for guests of the open house, for any remaining 2023 or 2024 summer dates (there are quite a few Saturdays still available!).
