Three Oaks Flag Day Hog Roast Fundraiser is April 22nd

A hog roast to raise funds for the Three Oaks Flag Day event is planned for this month. Organizers told us more:

Three Oaks Flag Day is excited to announce the date for the Annual Three Oaks Flag Day Hog Roast. Taking place from 4-8PM on Saturday, April 22nd, friends and family are invited to come support Three Oaks Flag Day with great food, silent auction, live music, and a special presentation of the 2023 Grand Marshall. Taking place at the Three Oaks American Legion Hall, all hog roast proceeds will go to sustaining the Three Oaks Flag Day Parade.

“We hope everyone can come and enjoy our comfort meal, live music by Buddy Pearson and some great silent auction items,” said Heather Whitlow, Festival President. “This event is always a blast, and we are excited to be presenting our 2023 Grand Marshall, Sherriff Paul Bailey.”

The Three Oaks Flag Day Parade is kept going by sponsorships and the hog roast fundraiser. Donations from surrounding businesses fill the Three Oaks Flag Day Hog Roast silent auction including gift baskets, adventure packages, gift certificates, decor, and more, the silent auction always has something for everyone.

“We look forward to this event every year. It is fun to see the community come together in support of our June festivities. Our newly crowned Flag Day Prince and Princess and the Three Oaks/River Valley Royalty are excited to welcome everyone to the 2023 event. We hope you can join us for dinner and live music or grab a meal to-go,” said festival volunteer Brittney Sherrill.

Hog Roast Tickets are available through committee members or at the door. Participation in the silent auction is on an individual basis with only cash and check being accepted. If you would like to donate to the silent auction, please contact Heather at 269-612-1960. Live music by Buddy Pearson will begin at 6pm. The 2023 meal will include pork, baked beans, mac ‘n cheese, coleslaw, and dessert. This event is being sponsored by Three Oaks Flag Day sponsors: The American Legion Post 204, Cordogan & Clark, and Journeyman Distillery.

For the past 71 years, the Three Oaks Flag Day Parade has been able to give back to the community with a parade honoring the American Flag, Veterans of all wars, current service men and women, our country and our freedom. The weekend is home to the nation’s largest Flag Day Parade, and it starts with the Three Oaks Flag Day Hog Roast on Saturday, April 22th.
