South Haven will hold a workshop on short-term rentals next week. City Manager Kate Hosier says it will be at South Haven High School from 6 to 8 p.m.
“The first workshop on April 20th is meant to be an informational session to get us all on the same page, making sure as we’re going forward we have a common understanding of a number of topics.”
Hosier has invited the South Haven Rental Alliance and the Neighborhoods Need Neighbors groups to give presentations on both sides of the issue. She says public comment will be allowed, but might be kept short due to how many people are expected to attend. The city council also approved the hiring of a part-time employee to help with short-term rentals at Monday’s meeting.
