Retirement plans have changed for some over the past year, all due to inflation. A new survey from NerdWallet suggests 27% of Americans saved less than they normally would for retirement over the past year. Alana Benson is an investment expert with NerdWallet.
“Of the folks who are planning on retiring early, those who are not yet retired but plan to at some point, they’re planning on retiring at age 57, which is quite a bit earlier, about a decade earlier, than the Social Security benefits full retirement age, which is 67.”
16% of Americans now plan to retire later than originally planned, while 11% now plan to retire sooner.
