Shoppers are expected to see higher prices this holiday season due to increasing inflation and supply chain issues. Food Industry Association President Leslie Sarasin suggests shoppers plan ahead.
“Grocery shoppers should plan ahead,” Sarasin said. “I think we ought to all be thinking now about what types of products we’re going to need as we plan for our holiday meals and develop our shopping lists as early as we possibly can. It’ll make it easier for us to budget if we know in advance what we’re looking for.”
Sarasin says joining grocery loyalty programs can also help consumers save during the holiday season. Through loyalty programs, shoppers will have access to extra benefits, including coupons, sales and pricing.
