Success for the mother daughter duo that is Valerie and Emily Byrnes continues to follow them to State Street in downtown St. Joe. Previously known as Waterfront Framing and Design and b. grace boutique, respectively, the two have completed the transition into a new larger location with increased visibility and a unique gallery experience in the downtown shopping district.
After temporarily closing in September to relocate their businesses from the Ship Street location, they moved just around the corner to 209 State Street and relaunched as the newly named Waterfront House of Framing & Fashion a month later.
“Our goal was to create an exceptional experience for our customers that begins well before they step inside our doors; by continuing to expand our offerings we now provide an exploration of art, design, clothing, and framing,” says Emily.
“The framing side of the house remains the strength and core of our business. It’s what we love and why we are here, this move allows us to add more frame lines, fine and fun artwork, and connect all parts together in an elegant design function,” added Valerie.
A ribbon cutting celebration with the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber, Cornerstone Alliance, and Think Tank Marketing will be held on Thursday, November 3rd from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber President & CEO Arthur Havlicek says, “Every community should be lucky enough to have people like Valerie & Emily as business owners who are evolving in their industry, and in this case, their space and the shopping experience. The combination of experience from Valerie, plus the youthful perspective from Emily has formed a must visit destination among the downtown storefronts in St. Joseph.”
“The growth of these two businesses, and the transformation of their new space, is incredible. The entrepreneurial spirit runs deep between this mother-daughter duo, and our community is better off for it. They have turned this space into a year-round destination which will increase foot traffic and create more business for the downtown St. Joseph merchants,” adds Rob Cleveland, President & CEO of Cornerstone Alliance.
