Michigan Gas Donates To Police Agencies

Michigan Gas Utilities is awarding $10,000 to help Michigan public safety agencies purchase lifesaving equipment. The funding is part of MGU’s Rewarding Responders Grant program, and among the police agencies to receive funds this week is the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department. Allegan County Emergency Management is receiving funds for oil booms for hazardous material spills, while Allegan County Search and Rescue is receiving funds for a thermal imaging camera. Michigan Gas says it’s proud to support those who work to protect communities. Since 2015, MGU has donated more than $65,000 through its Rewarding Responders Grant program. Also included in this latest round of grants are first responder agencies in Saugatuck Township and Coldwater.
