Spectrum Health Lakeland has welcomed cardiologist John-Phillip Markovic, MD to the medical staff. Dr. Markovic is seeing patients alongside nine cardiology physician specialists and five advanced practitioners at Spectrum Health Lakeland Heart and Vascular, with office locations in Coloma, Niles, and St. Joseph.
Dr. Markovic earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in California, after he graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Andrews University. He completed a fellowship from Kettering Cardiovascular Fellowship Program in Ohio where he also completed his residency and served as a chief resident. Dr. Markovic is fluent in German and Spanish. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
“My commitment to my patients is to provide the best course of treatment, with the hopes of saving valuable heart muscle and helping them return to normal daily activities as soon as possible,” said Dr. Markovic. “Our entire care team is committed to reducing the incidence of cardiac and vascular disease in our community and improving outcomes for those affected through prevention, risk awareness, education, rapid treatment, and rehabilitation.”
