Amtrak suspends two trains with stops in southwest Mich.

Two trains have left the station, and won’t be coming around the bend for at least two weeks.

Amtrak announced this week that Wolverine trains 350 and 355, with service between Chicago and Pontiac, are suspended with no alternate transportation provided until Sept. 17. The company cited both a lack of manpower and available train equipment as the reason for the suspension.

Wolverine trains 351, 352, 353, and 354 will operate normally, the company said. Blue Water trains 364 and 365, which run from Port Huron to Chicago,  will operate normally and also serve Wolverine stations in southwestern Michigan.

Schedule times listed on amtrak.com have been updated to reflect these changes.
