The Van Buren Conservation District is inviting families to join it for an outdoor education experience at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery in Mattawan starting this month. It’s going to teach kids all about the fish hatchery and fish found in Michigan. The Van Buren Conservation District has released the following:
This year, the Van Buren Conservation District is partnering with Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery to provide an outdoor educational experience for children ages 4-10. This program will take place at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery (34270 Co Rd 652, Mattawan, MI
49071) and will utilize all that the hatchery has to offer including fishing, pond studies, various educational hikes, scavenger hunts, nature journaling and tours of the facility.
Parents/guardians are required to attend for the entirety of the program and provide their own transportation. The event will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on June 22, June 29, July 13, and July 20.
