Electronics Recycling Sunday, June12 in St. Joseph

Berrien County’s Electronic Recycling program is partnering with a St. Joseph Church to make it easier to recycle those electronic devices that are cluttering up your basement, garage and storage shed.  The County passed along these details on the recycling effort, coming up next weekend.

First Church of God in St. Joseph is hosting a community-wide electronics recycling collection on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Unwanted household electronics will be collected in the First Church parking lot at 2627 Niles Avenue in St. Joseph from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Residents can drop off any consumer electronic for recycling such as computers, monitors, printers, televisions, microwaves, VCR/DVD players, stereos, toasters, power tools, cell phones, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, window air conditioners, appliances and anything with a cord or items that run on batteries. Items will be accepted at no charge to the resident.

For residents who are not physically able to haul electronic equipment or do not have the transportation means, there is a small group of Church volunteers available to pick up material from those residents’ homes. The pickup area is a 20 mile radius from the Church in St. Joseph. People requiring e-waste pick up service by Church volunteers must call First Church of God at 269-983-1524 by June 9th, anytime Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., to schedule a pick-up appointment. Volunteers will pick up the unwanted electronics on June 12th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
