The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra’s Pop Up! Concerts continue this Thursday, June 9, at 4 pm and features members of the symphony orchestra and friends!
Rhythm in Tandem is a bassoon and piano duo based in Kalamazoo; Helen Lukan will play the piano and Wendy Rose will play the bassoon as they create musical memories. Come hear the sounds of Galbraith, Elgar, Albert, Gershwin and more performed by two seasoned musicians of Southwest Michigan.
The concert will be at 4 pm in the beautiful garden of the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library, 500 Market St., St. Joseph. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on. The Lost Coast Shave Ice food truck will be on site and will offer selections for purchase, or you may bring your own food and beverage, if desired.
These concerts were started during the pandemic as a thank you to the community for its support of the SMSO. The SMSO hopes the community will enjoy these rousing orchestral offerings Thursdays in June at the library.
