Get The First Taste of Restaurant Month In Buchanan

March has been declared ‘Restaurant Month’ in Berrien County, and the City of Buchanan kicks off the celebrations by claiming the first week as their time to dine. From March 1st through the 8th, eighteen Buchanan eateries will feature specials and delicious treats that will shine a light on supporting local business.

Vice President of the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce, Karol Behrle, is excited for this years’ festivities, stating that the announcement about Restaurant Week can soon be found on the Chamber website, City website, and the newsletter of Buchanan Community Schools.

“We got on the bandwagon a little early this year! Last year I invited radio and TV stations to join me in Buchanan for interviews with Buchanan restaurants, and it was a huge success– all of the restaurants were busier!” Karol says.

You can support your favorite dining spot and discover new ones by not only dining in or carrying out, but purchasing gift cards as well. All of the participating restaurants have special offers and features for Restaurant Week, and all but two eateries in the City of Buchanan are involved.

This year, Buchanan Area Restaurants have also worked together to create one massive gift basket, worth over $300 in prizes, to one lucky patron. To be entered to win:
1) Visit one of the participating restaurants between March 1st – March 8th
2) Take a picture of your purchase and share it on social media (Facebook or Instagram), and tag #buchananrestaurantweek2022.

Patrons can enter the contest more than once, up to three entries per day, from three different participating restaurants.

Some of the restaurants featured for Restaurant Week are Union Coffee House & Cafe: offering seasonal drink specials and Irish themed eats, Hickory Creek Winery: featuring a Wine Tasting For 2, Gustavsen Cafe: highlighting cinnamon rolls with pistachio, Lehman’s Brewery & Farmhouse, McCoy Creek Tavern, and River St. Joe. There are twelve other Buchanan locations in which to dine, so your plate will be full, and options plentiful.
