A little more holiday cheer is coming to Benton Harbor this Saturday, and this time it is coming with vaccinations and lead testing. InterCare Community Health Network will hold a Holiday Health Event on Saturday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Benton Harbor location at 800 M-139. The event will feature free COVID-19 vaccinations for kids 5-11 and free lead testing. Flu shots for everyone, COVID-19 vaccinations for teens and adults, including booster shots for those who qualify, and COVID-19 testing will also be included. Staff from the Berrien County Health Department will also be participating.
Michigan has the highest rate of new coronavirus infections in the country, and only 59% of michiganians are fully vaccinated. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself and your family, and to help control the pandemic.
Insurance will be billed for tests taken at this event for those who have insurance, but there will be no out of pocket costs.
