Agency on Aging Seeks Public Input on 3-Year Plan

The Area Agency on Aging will be conducting in-person and virtual focus groups in addition to Caregiver and Older Adult Community Needs Surveys for its 2023-2025 Multi-Year Plan. This plan is implemented every three years and identifies core areas for programs and services for Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties.

The agency is urging citizen participation:

“We invite you to share your needs and any additional programs and services you would like to see offered in your community by attending a focus group or completing a survey.  Every voice is important, and your valuable feedback will help us in our efforts to support and encourage independent living and the successful aging of Southwest Michigan’s older population. “

Region IV AAA is designated by the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency (AASA) to plan, develop, and implement services as guided through the federal Older Americans Act (OAA) of 1965 and its subsequent amendments. The Older Michiganians Act (OMA) was enacted by the State of Michigan in 1981 to build upon the efforts of the aging network through State resources

Registration for the focus groups and Caregiver and Older Adult Community Needs Surveys are available online at www.AreaAgencyonAging.org. If you would like to register by phone or email contact Amy Nichols at (269) 982-7748, or by email amynichols@areaagencyonaging.org.
