Looking to take the Kids to Something Fun? It’s Dowagiac’s “Summer in the City” Festival

If you’re looking for a family-friendly event to take the kids to, you’ll definitely want to plan a visit to downtown Dowagiac’s “Summer in the City” Festival.

The two-day event is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 16-17.

The event features live dance and musical entertainment, the Taste of Dowagiac, a community-wide worship service, food vendors, carnival attractions sponsored by Touch of Texas, street vendors, children’s interactive entertainment, craft booths, action sports, and more.

Families can purchase wristbands for carnival rides for $10, or $1 tickets can be purchased for selected attractions.

Downtown Dowagiac businesses invite festival guests to visit their specialty shops and browse for summer sidewalk sales. You won’t want to miss the popular Lawn Mower Race on Saturday.

If you’re interested in obtaining booth space to sell your crafts, applications are available now. For booth details email VPhillipson@Dowagiac.org or call (269) 782-8212.
