While people in several major cities from Toronto to Chicago and from Indianapolis to Cleveland hear about the remarkable vacation opportunities that await them in Pure Michigan, local hot spots in Michigan’s Great Southwest are gaining a Michigan-based audience thanks to the efforts of Millicent Huminsky and her team at the Southwestern Michigan Tourist Council offices just off of I-94 at Pipestone Road in Benton Harbor.
Huminsky recently welcomed a crew from M-Live to the region to help showcase the myriad opportunities for Michigan residents to hit the beaches, waterways, wineries, breweries, restaurants and other amenities along the shores of Lake Michigan through an 11-and-a-half minute video featuring Amy Sherman and John Gonzalez of M-Live.
Millicent says, “With travel completely opened up in Michigan it was time to put this area in the minds of Michigan travelers.” She points out, “Michigan residents have always been in our top three geographic locations of travelers that come to this area,” and describes the colorful video as, “An invitation to welcome folks to our corner of paradise by reminding them of what Michigan’s Great Southwest has to offer! Cheers to an amazing summer and fall!”
