Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren Rolls Out Series of Hiring Events

When you have nearly 2,000 available jobs going unfilled, you have to resort to extraordinary means to find ways to get people through the door. Recognizing the overwhelming need across the region, Michigan Works! is ready to host a series of virtual hiring events to fill some of the gaps.

With more than 1,800 available jobs in southwest Michigan, the team at Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass Van Buren is urging the public to get back to work by attending one of many virtual hiring events.

The Michigan Works! team is helping to fill the gap with 15- minute phone interviews. During the interviews, employers will discuss job opportunities, qualifications, and experience with job seekers to determine if they’re a good fit and interest for their company. Among the hiring employers you will find these upcoming opportunities:

Lyons Industries: Thursday, May 20th from 1:00pm – 4:00 pm

  • Lyons Industries is seeking Production Team Members, Vacuum Forming Operators, Robot Operators, and other manufacturing positions in Dowagiac.

Spectrum Health Lakeland: Friday, May 21st from 9:00am – 12:00pm

  • Spectrum Health Lakeland is seeking Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistants, Hospice Care Certified Nursing Assistants, and Home Health Aides throughout Berrien County.

Lovejoy: Tuesday, May 25th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm

  • Lovejoy is seeking CNC Operators, Multi-Machine Operators, and Material Handlers in South Haven.

Mshkiki Community Clinic: Wednesday, May 26th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm

  • Mshkiki Community Clinic is seeking Patient Registrations Clerks, Medical Assistants, and Dental Assistants for the new facility near the Secretary of State’s office in Benton Harbor.
