Six at United Federal Credit Union Promoted to Leadership Roles

The talent bench at United Federal Credit Union is deep and strong, and the organization has showcased that in recent days with the promotion of six current employees to leadership positions. The appointments include new roles within the organization with an emphasis on member service, human resources, brand experience, compliance, and operations.

Here are the new leaders and their roles:

Kellie Dolezan, Director of Total Rewards

Kellie Dolezan has been appointed to the position of Director of Total Rewards. In her new role, Dolezan will lead the payroll and benefits focus areas of the Human Resources department. She will also be responsible for developing competitive total reward strategies.

Dolezan has been with the credit union for two years and was previously United’s compensation and benefits manager. Prior to coming to United, Dolezan held Human Resources leadership positions at Whirlpool Corporation and Lake Michigan College.

Brenda Kamph, Director of Talent and Organizational Development

Brenda Kamph has been appointed to the position of Director of Talent and Organizational Development. In her new role, Kamph will oversee the organization’s talent strategy, recruiting and employee relations, and consulting with senior leadership and managers to ensure alignment with strategic goals of the credit union.

Her prior experience includes more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources at JP Morgan Chase and Premera Blue Cross, and five years with United serving as Human Resources Services Manager and Employee Relations Manager.

Tony Mandarino, Director of Commercial Operations

Tony Mandarino has been appointed to the position of Director of Commercial Operations. In his new role, Mandarino will oversee the commercial underwriting, fulfillment and portfolio management for United’s commercial lending programs in addition to the loan quality and portfolio management. Mandarino will also be responsible for managing efficiencies within the department to ensure the credit union meets or exceeds commercial lending goals on a continuous basis.

He originally joined United as Director of Business Sales in 2016, and has worked in the financial services industry since 2001. Under his leadership, United was named the Credit Union Lender of the Year 2018 by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Michigan District Office.

Laura Mock, Director of Enterprise Project & Process Management

Laura Mock has been appointed to the position of Director of Enterprise Project & Process Management. In her new role, Mock will oversee the entire Project Management Office project portfolio, and develop and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools. She will also drive project performance through consistent project management processes, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Mock brings more than 15 years’ experience in project management to the role and was previously United’s Manager of Project Management Office—having spent the past year and a half at the credit union helping to build the newly created department.

Brianne Schmidke, Director of Marketing

Brianne Schmidke has been appointed to the position of Director of Marketing. In her new role, Schmidke will lead United’s marketing, branding, events, donations and sponsorships by setting the marketing strategies and roadmaps for the credit union including digital marketing, product marketing, and content marketing. Schmidke will oversee all campaigns including promotions and line-of-business support, utilizing her deep understanding of the United brand and markets to ensure all messages and creative executions are in-line with corporate identity and standards.

Schmidke brings more than 17 years’ experience in marketing and sales to the position, and was previously United’s Brand Experience Manager. Before joining United, Schmidke held marketing positions at A&M Hospitality, Whirlpool Corporation, Harbor Shores Golf Club, and The Inn at Harbor Shores.

Frank Witucki, Director of Compliance

Frank Witucki has been appointed to the position of Director of Compliance. In his new role, Witucki will be responsible for providing leadership to the regulatory compliance team, assessing compliance and regulatory-related risks, and supporting the credit union in compliance with all banking laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures. He will also provide United’s management and staff with expert compliance advice regarding all aspects of the credit union’s operations, making assessments and recommendations on exposure to compliance-related risks.

Witucki brings more than 8 years’ experience in credit union compliance to the position, and was previously United’s Compliance Manager. Prior to joining United, Witucki held compliance leadership positions at Honor Credit Union.
