The founder of Vicksburg-based Automation Plus, Inc. has been tabbed as Chairman of Sturgis Bancorp, which has a loan production office in downtown St. Joseph.
John T. Wiedlea, who retired this year as Co-Director of the Sturgis Area Community Foundation will take the reins as Chair for Sturgis Bancorp, the holding company for Sturgis Bank & Trust Company. The 68-year old industrialist has been a Director of the Bank since 2006, serving as Audit Chairman. He is a current member of, and held positions as Chairman of the Sturgis Economic Development Corporation, Sturgis Improvement Association, and Brownfield Development of Sturgis. He also has served as a member of the St. Joseph County EDGE Board, and is a member of the Sturgis Rotary Club and Co-Treasurer of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Howe, Indiana. Automation Plus, Inc. is not a parent, subsidiary, or other affiliate of Sturgis Bancorp.
