A popular Three Oaks salon and spa has announced it will not be back when the gubernatorial mandated closure for such businesses finally ends next week, however its Harbert location will. MAK Spa at 13 N. Elm Street in Three Oaks had just posted on Friday their excitement saying, “We are THRILLED to announce that we will be opening our salon and spa on June 16th, 2020 at 9 am. We have set a plan for appointments moving forward,” and they provided instructions on how to go about making an appointment when they returned.
Somewhere along the line that plan collapsed and this evening the spa announced that they will not reopen their Three Oaks location after all. Here is what they posted late today on their Facebook fan page:
“It is with great sadness that we are announcing the closure of our MAK Spa, Three Oaks location.
We had every intention of reopening after our mandated COVID-19 closure but due to unforeseen circumstances will not be able to resume services at our Three Oaks location.
It has been a great honor to serve the Three Oaks community and we hold a special place in our hearts for all Three Oaks businesses. Please continue to shop local and support these amazing businesses.
All MAK Spa gift cards will be honored at our MAK Salon and Spa location in Harbert. Your MAK Spa gift cards may be redeemed for any product or service available at MAK Salon and Spa.
We thank you for your support, encouragement, and understanding as we navigate through these times.”
The Three Oaks version of the spa conducted a ribbon cutting in April of 2018 with the Harbor Country Chamber as owners Kelsey Holzer and Maggie Martin wielded the giant scissors, on a happy day.
The MAK Salon and Spa at Harbert, located at 13584 Red Arrow Highway remains ready for the return next week with Maggie as Master Stylist and Kelsey as Massage Therapist.
