A woman with more than a decade of financial experience who served also as Finance Director for the City of Dowagiac has joined the team at Wolverine Mutual Insurance Company in Dowagiac as their new Controller.
Becky Grabemeyer, CPA, has joined Wolverine Mutual in the role of Controller, where she will be responsible for overseeing the regional insurance company’s entire accounting department. Grabemeyer brings more than a decade of experience to the position including her time as Finance Director for the city.

Prior to her role with the City of Dowagiac, Grabemeyer served for eight years at Accounting Consultants, P.C., a private firm in Dowagiac.
Grabemeyer grew up in Eau Claire, Michigan, and earned an associate degree from Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2011.
Grabemeyer is active in the Young Professionals of Greater Dowagiac where she currently serves as their chair. She was a member of the 2019 class of the Moody on the Market 40 Under 40, as shown in the photo accompanying this story. She lives in Dowagiac with her husband, Brian, and two children.
