The Berrien County death toll attributed to the coronavirus pandemic has risen to 14 now, as the County Health Department says, “We are saddened by two additional deaths to report today; both were older women over the age of 75 with underlying medical conditions.” Meanwhile the total confirmed cumulative case count has risen to 215. That’s 2 new cases in the past 24 hours. Today the Health Department reports that 137 of those cases are now labeled as recovered in Berrien County. Meanwhile, Cass held unchanged at 26 cases and 2 deaths, and Van Buren County saw just one new positive case for a total of 35 cases and two deaths there. Berrien County also counts 172 presumptive cases on the record.
Across Michigan, the tally stands at 37,778 statewide, up by 575 from yesterday, with 3,315 deaths from the virus, an increase of 41 from Saturday. Statewide 8,342 have now recovered.
