The Berrien County Health Department today asks, “How would you feel if you knew that you were the reason that someone else got sick with COVID-19? What if that person had to go to the hospital because they couldn’t breathe? What if that person died? What if that person was someone you love? 25-percent of COVID-19 carriers may not have symptoms and could unknowingly pass this virus to others. Stay home. Stay safe. Save lives.”
The Berrien County total confirmed cumulative case count has risen to 111, that’s six new cases in the past 24 hours, but the death toll held steady at five. The Health Department reports that 53 of those cases are now labeled as recovered in Berrien County. Meanwhile, Van Buren County has held steady at total of 22, while Cass County added two new cases for a total of 13 positive cases, the first rise there in several days. Berrien County has logged 5 deaths to date, Van Buren has two and Cass County remains at one death thus far in the pandemic.
