We may not be out of the woods yet, but Spectrum Health President & CEO Tina Freese Decker has issued an updated video in which she says, “We are now seeing the impact of our community staying at home.” Her message of hope goes on to say, “You have substantially lowered the curve by as much as 65-percent,” and adds, “It’s working, and you are saving lives.”
Decker tells the community, “Our hope is that continued social distancing may decrease the peak of the surge. This is creating precious time to help us be as prepared as possible to care for our community, and protect our team during the surge. We know that we will need up to eight times our normal quantities of personal protective equipment, so we are using this time and every possible effort to secure those resources.”
