Even Spectrum Health Lakeland is being forced to consolidate a number of medical practice locations and go virtual due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Officials have announced this morning that, in an effort to limit potential exposure of COVID-19, Lakeland Medical Practices have consolidated some locations and begun conducting appointments via video visit or phone call. Many medical practice facilities remain open and providers are available to see patients with essential or acute needs in the clinics. All other necessary appointments will be conducted by a video visit or phone call.
Effective today, Monday, March 23rd, these changes will take place at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Practice locations:
- Community Bone & Joint in St. Joseph has consolidated to their Coloma location at the Paw Paw Medical Center.
- Lakeland Occupational Health—Patients with a scheduled appointment from 3/23/20 to 4/3/20 will be seen at 2500 Niles Road in St. Joseph. Patients with appointments between 4/6/20 to 4/17/20 will be rescheduled, only drug screenings will continue as usual.
- Lakeland Cardiothoracic, Lakeland Ear, Nose, and Throat, and Lakeland Urology in Niles have consolidated to their St. Joseph locations.
- Lakeland Neurology in Coloma has consolidated to their St. Joseph location.
- Lakeland Sleep Medicine in Niles and St. Joseph are only conducting virtual care.
- Lakeland Weight Loss Center in Niles is only conducting virtual care.
At this time, online scheduling has been deactivated. Patients with scheduled appointments will either be contacted directly by their provider’s office to keep their appointment or be asked to have a virtual visit (video or phone).
Patients who are experiencing acute upper respiratory symptoms or a fever over 100 should call the free COVID-19 screening hotline at 833.559.0659 and remain home for seven days after illness onset, or 72 hours after resolution of fever and improvement of respiratory symptoms, whichever is longer.
